The cult of extreme productivity has sold us the lie that boredom should be avoided at all costs, and doing nothing at all is an unproductive strategy for lazy people.
However, during all of my seminars and talks I encourage you to schedule think time and creative space. It is during moments of solitude that we can discover ingenious, unique, and often overlooked solutions to familiar problems and gain the clarity to make better decisions. Then, we can implement the fix.
Get bored. It’s okay.
As my best friend Cliff always says…”You’re never alone if you have yourself.”
Get bored it will be okay.
